ABOUT DR. LORD

Joshua Lord is a medical doctor, board certified in general adult psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He remains on faculty at UT Southwestern as an Assistant Professor where he has won teaching awards for education of medical students and residents. When not working in his practice, he manages behavioral health emergencies at Parkland Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Lord values a comprehensive approach to his practice, offering precise care to each patient, which includes psychodynamic therapy, medication intervention and management, cognitive behavioral therapy, and family therapy.

WHY MEN?

This practice is committed to improving the mental health of men through hard work and thoughtful care. Men striving to be better fathers, sons, husbands, friends, or colleagues are capable of doing so with the proper tools. Dr. Lord established his clinic to provide those tools and the knowledge needed to use them. Too many men struggle unnecessarily to understand and regulate their thoughts, emotions, and actions. With the right help, men can take control of deficiencies in any of these areas and harness their minds to accomplish what’s most important.
